Kitesurfing in Cornwall is an exhilarating watersport practiced on various beaches around the coast. Otherwise known as kiteboarding, kite surfing is chasing surfing in the popularity polls as the coolest watersport in the UK. Harnessing the abundant wind power and surf that Cornwall has to offer, kitesurfers are carving turns and catching air at coastal locations such as Watergate bay, Perranporth, Pentewan, Hayle and Marazion.
The sport is overseen in this country by the British Kite Surfing Association (BKSA), which inspects schools to ensure they meet the correct standards of safety and that instructors are properly qualified. If you’re starting out in kitesurfing, take a lesson with a BKSA approved school.
