Kitesurfing Cornwall

Kitesurfing in Cornwall is an exhilarating watersport practiced on various beaches around the coast. Otherwise known as kiteboarding, kite surfing is chasing surfing in the popularity polls as the coolest watersport in the UK. Harnessing the abundant wind power and surf that Cornwall has to offer, kitesurfers are carving turns and catching extreme air at coastal locations throughout Cornwall.
Kitesurfing hotspots include Watergate Bay, Perranporth, Par, Hayle and Marazion.
Kitesurfing in Cornwall will continue to grow in the same vein as surfing in Cornwall has, attracting world class competitions and future kitesurf legends. Cornwall has already bred the four times world champion Aaron Hadlow and a number of top kitesurfers continue to do well on the national and international kitesurfing circuit.
The sport is overseen in this country by the British Kite Surfing Association (BKSA), which inspects schools to ensure they meet the correct standards of safety and that instructors are properly qualified. If you're starting out in kitesurfing, take a lesson with a BKSA approved school.
