Take the power of the ocean and add the force of the wind and you’ve got kitesurfing – one of the most incredible watersports on the planet. Watergate Bay is famous for kitesurfing, and not just because of its two miles of awesome beach and surf – it’s also home to the Extreme Academy, our BKSA approved kitesurf school.
Our instructors are obsessed with this sport; give them two days of your time and you’ll see why – the adrenaline rush when you control the wind and the waves and scream through the surf is like nothing else you’ve experienced.
We don’t cut corners when it comes to safety or how much fun you’re having - we’re all about small groups and plenty of individual attention for each student – that’s how we make sure everyone gets a great kitesurf experience that fits their ability and maximises their potential. You’ll have a great time and you’ll make real progress.
Choose the lesson that suits your needs best, from a half-day with a group to a one-to-one lesson if you want to really push your skill level. We provide everything you need to get in the water and start learning, including boards, kites and wetsuits, plus boots and gloves in the winter – yep, we teach all year round.
The Extreme Academy’s home is a brand new, purpose built school with changing rooms, hot showers and space for safety briefings.
