Surfers Against Sewage send beach rubbish back in the mail

Cornwall’s environmental campaigners Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) recently launched the ‘Return to Offender – Address Known’ campaign which aims to send back beach litter to its originators. Any litter posted back is accompanied by a postcard telling the offenders about better environmental practice. Andy Cummins, SAS Campaigns Officer, says: “Anyone can help us with this campaign. If you’re walking the dog on the beach and come across a plastic drink container for example, take it home, put it in a parcel and return it to the address listed on the bottle, not forgetting to enclose a copy of SAS’s campaign letter.” For more information and to get hold of SAS’s campaign letter visit www.sas.org.uk.
