Guided family canoe trips on the River Tamar. Experience the delight of gliding silently in some of the most beautiful scenery in England, past steeply sloping woodland, old quays, mine chimneys, farms and boatyards. Learn to manoeuvre your own Canadian canoe in complete safety, travelling at your speed on a gently flowing river with a qualified guide.
Enjoy the river’s bird life, heron, water fowl and kingfisher; see a salmon leaping, perhaps a seal or an otter. We run our regular trips every day throughout the summer and 4 days a week from Easter to September. Trips start either from Cotehele Quay, part of the National Trust estate on the Cornwall side of the Tamar; or from the historic river port of Morwellham Quay in Devon.
Our trips are perfect for the whole family, for ages from 3 years to 93 years. Canoe Tamar also runs week long canoe and kayak courses for those wanting a little more adventure and to develop their skills. Further details on our website.
Canoe Tamar, now part of the Tamar Trails Centre, is a well established, highly qualified and fully licensed canoe company which has been guiding canoe trips for 7 years along the Tamar.
