South West Outdoor Festival Cancelled
Due to forecast high winds and heavy rain this weekend, the South West Outdoor Festival has been cancelled.
The event was due to due to take place this weekend (27th- 29th September) at the National Trust’s Penrose estate in Cornwall.
Organisers took the difficult decision to cancel this year’s festival because of safety concerns caused by the severe weather forecast.
The event would have welcomed some of the country’s top adventurers to inspire visitors, who could have also tried out a number of activities at the scenic estate.
Alastair Cameron, National Trust General Manager said: “We have been planning our SWOF festival for the past year and were looking forward to welcoming festival-goers to Cornwall for the first time, but visitor safety must be our priority. We do appreciate that this decision will be a great disappointment for those due to attend.”
Refunds for festival tickets will be processed shortly.
