He’ll want to do well, because the prize money for the five star WQS event is a massive $100,000. The Boardmasters is also hosting a woman’s WQS, two skate contests and a music festival.
The festival is in its 26th year and is the UK’s longest running surf event. In the past it has welcomed many of surfing’s world champions, and is the start of a gruelling circuit of European WQS events.
