New Boat Tour Service in St Ives

St Ives Boat Services has brought the town’s newest and largest cruising boat to the harbour this week with the arrival of The Four Sisters. The new vessel, which comfortably accommodates up to 43 passengers and two crew members, will be the first of its kind to be seen in the Penwith harbour since the mid-1980s when The Cornish Belle previously offered pleasure cruises in the bay.

The new passenger vessel will be moored in S .Ives Harbour from this week and will operate primarily as a pleasure tour vessel with three to four trips a day for visitors in high season, taking in cruises along the coastline to explore the marine life around Seal Island and Godrevy Lighthouse. The boat will also be available for private charter to allow residents and visitors to the town enjoy deep-sea fishing trips and private tours on request.

Adam Barber, owner and skipper of St Ives Boat Services said, “The crew and I are delighted to introduce The Four Sisters as the latest sea vessel in the bay. We are dedicated to offering everyone a comfortable trip aboard, with a large open deck and plenty of bench seating from which they can enjoy the abundance of marine life that the Cornish coastline has to offer.”

St.Ives Boat Services is also proud to have marketing support from St.Ives Brewery, who will be promoting trips on The Four Sisters to customers who can enjoy the view of The Four Sisters on dry land.

The passenger vessel’s arrival comes about as it also enjoys its new registered name with the Maritime & Coastguard Agency as The Four Sisters. Dedicated to Barber’s four daughters, three of whom he delivered single-handedly at home, the skipper thought it only fitting to mark the occasion of the newest ‘arrival’ in the bay. In tribute to family-friendly life, The Four Sisters will also welcome aboard up to two children for free when accompanied by two paying adults over the coming season.
