Try Scuba Diving

Scuba DivingHave you ever thought about learning to dive but were unsure how or where to get started? Now is your chance to take that first step by signing up for a British Sub Aqua Club’s Try Dive – the perfect introduction to scuba diving.

Sponsored by Dive Philippines, and running throughout September, Try Dive is BSAC’s annual event welcoming non-divers to the sport. Try Dive is ideal for anyone who’s always wanted to learn, test out the water before they go on holiday, or are just curious.

For just £10, participants will be offered a lesson with a qualified BSAC instructor, including poolside tuition on diving skills and equipment, followed by scuba diving in the pool. Almost anyone, from the age of 12 is welcome to come and learn to dive with BSAC.

If the diving bug bites, participants can go on to take the BSAC Ocean Diver course which includes five open water dives, either at a BSAC Centre over two weekends or at a BSAC branch (who generally meet in the evenings and dive at weekends). The BSAC Ocean Diver qualification is the stepping stone to a lifelong diving adventure, with the waters of the UK – and around the world – just waiting to be explored.

For information and to register for a Try Dive in your local area, simply call free on 0500 947 202 or check out the website at www.bsac.com where you can register online. People with medical conditions are advised to consult BSAC HQ on 0151 350 6200.
