Cornwall based firm The Winter Sports Company is on the lookout for suitable young people to fill positions in Sun Peaks Resort in Canada. Recruitment for 2013/14 is taking place between June and October 2012 and priority is being given to those aged between 18 and 25 who live in Cornwall. Successful candidates will be given assistance in applying for Canadian visas.

The Winter Sports Company, based in Praa Sands, provides ski instructor courses and snowboard instructor training in Canada. Set up and managed by a couple who have over 15 years experience in the provision of ski holidays, guiding and winter sports tuition, Steve and Karen La Borde hope to find people with a passion to teach the sports they love.

Wishing to promote careers in the adventure sports industry, The Winter Sports Company provides access to internationally recognised ski instructor qualifications and snowboard instructor certification.

Ski instructor courses and snowboard instructor courses are run in Sun Peaks Resort, British Columbia where the snow school is regarded as one of the best centres for instructor training in Canada.

Courses can be anything from 3 to 18 weeks long, and clients are actively encouraged to design their own training programmes. Past trainees have become qualified as both ski instructor and snowboard instructor within the same year.
