Surf Clinic with South African Supremo

Clayton, who is also famous for surfboard shaping, and lists Kelly Slater as one of his main customers, is in the UK for two weeks only this August. After a long surf career competing around the world, Clayton now focuses on providing top-level coaching and board shaping from his base in South Africa. He has dedicated four days of his stay to giving keen surfers in Cornwall a chance to improve their moves and benefit from his expertise at the Animal Surf Academy.
With only ten places on each day this will be a rare opportunity… the lucky few will be subjected to a grilling routine of new coaching methods including an innovative eye-to-body coordination technique developed by Clayton. The day will also involve exercise and nutrition tips, contest tactics and making use of Headzone helmets which were first tested out at the ASA in October last year.

Nicola Bunt, former British Ladies Champion from St Agnes, and Animal team rider said: “It’s a great and rare opportunity to be able to tap into from some top-level training that will look at your style, turns and technique as well as providing good advice for training and nutritional tips to improve on your surfing.”
Any budding surfers out there need to sign up now for this rare chance to improve their surfing with a top level coach on their home turf.
Places will cost £45 per person. To ensure a place on the Clayton surf coaching day call the Animal Surf Academy now on 01637 850808 for dates in Newquay (Sat 9 & Sun 10 August) or 01208 880617 for dates in Polzeath (Thu 7 & Fri 8 August).
