Tree Surfers Open Day

Tree SurfersOutdoor enthusiasts in Cornwall and Devon are being invited to a public opening day for Tree Surfers – a woodland adventure activity centre being launched this weekend.

One of the UK’s few tree surfers, Paul Poynter, will give unique demonstrations of ‘surfing’ the tree branches and recreational rope tree climbing amongst the other action packed activities happening through out the day.

Based at Gulworthy near Tavistock, Tree Surfers is three activity courses of complex ladders, rope bridges, zip wires, trapeze swings and surfing planks that transports people through the tree canopy of the beautiful Tamar Valley. Open day visitors will be able to view the eco centre’s newly built Ropes Course in action and have the opportunity to take part in a variety of prize draws and special ‘Tree Surfer’ promotions.

The open day on Saturday 20 June will kick off at 10am and finish at 1pm. It will be held at Tree Surfers, Woodlands, Gulworthy, Tavistock, Devon, PL19 8JE.
