Classics at Famouth Week
This year’s Falmouth Week got off to a great start with a sailing event for classic yachts. Although not officially a regatta race, the sailors took to the water in their classic craft to show that the old boats still have some speed and style.
The conditions on the Carrick Roads were ideal for the first event of the regatta. Stella of I Jenkins was the first classic boat to cross the line first, closely followed by the Victory helmed by Dave Muirhead.
A variety of other boats joined in the fun conditions, giving a colourful and active show for shore based spectators.
The rest of the week’s events include further racing classes, musical entertainment and a Red Arrows flypast. See www.falmouthweek.co.uk for more information.
